In case you aren't familiar with Clixsense, it is a website where you can earn money online by viewing their ads and answering surveys. I can't remember when exactly I joined there along with other sites I make money with but joining these kind of site (if you really want to earn decent money from them), you need to login as frequesnt as you can to view ads. It probably took me a year before I have achieved the certain amount they require me to withdraw the earnings but hey don't get discourage. I don't have any referrals too but I login each time I use the computer while watching movies etc.
